I play the piano more in the county of Essex than any other area. Most of the work I do in this wonderful county consists of providing music for weddings, but I also play the piano for other kinds of events such as birthdays, anniversaries and corporate events. It’s many diverse venues attract many couples from London to get married there. The venues range from hotels and pubs in towns such as Colchester, Chelmsford and Southend to priories to castles such as Hedingham Castle and Leez Priory. I have performed at many of these wonderful venues and I have some great memories.
Pianists in Essex
I know for a fact that there are many good pianists in Essex, but I seldom get the chance to meet any of them. There does, however, seem to be enough work in the county to support all these musicians. If any pianists read this page please contact me as I would love to hear from you. There is hardly a week goes by where I don’t play the piano at a venue somewhere in Essex and I have become very fond of the county.
The Music I Play
My repertoire is quite varied covering music of many genres including classical, Latin, pop, rock, ragtime, jazz, blues, swing and even singalong. This means that I can play music from Bach, Debussy and Einaudi to Billy Joel, The Kinks and Oasis. This enables me to be able to provide music for every part of your wedding day.
Besides playing solo, I can provide quite a few different line-ups from just a duo right up to a five piece jazz band consisting of piano, bass, drums, sax and vocals.
